The Classics Society has spearheaded this year's Society Awards by the Royal Holloway Students' Union, winning the categories 'Best Academic Event', 'Sustainability Award' and 'Best Society'.

Congratulations to the amazing Classics Society for spearheading last night’s Society Awards by the Royal Holloway Students' Union! The Society not only won in the categories ‘Best Academic Event’ and ‘Sustainability Award’ but also managed to take the prize for ‘Best Society’.

We are immensely proud of the Society’s achievements, making Classics accessible and fun for all students at Royal Holloway. The picture shown was taken during the Staff Symposium organised by the Classics Society and awarded ‘Best Academic Event’.

The Classics Society exists to celebrate the culture and history of the classical world, with members from departments across the university sharing the love of all things Greek and Roman. It seeks to bring the department and university together and provide a welcoming space for students across Royal Holloway to collaborate and thrive, whether they are on campus or at home. The Society welcomes students from all backgrounds, regardless of their degree choice.
